Rosedale Missionary Baptist Church senior pastor Gervais Allison at his church on Brutus St. in New Orleans, Louisiana. Allison's church sits across the street from the scene of a triple homicide. Eleven days before the shootings one of the victims, Catherine Caufield, sought his help. "Pastor, I'm going through a lot," the 57-year-old said. "Will you pray for me?" Allison didn't know her, nor did he pry. "Doesn't matter, prayer's the answer," he said. They prayed and went their ways. When Allison's congregation learned of the murders in the shadow of their church's bell tower, they were shaken.
